Yeah, that is exactly what I was doing.
And then I thought to myself, why choose? How about both? How about both.
December 4: graphic novels, necking, and an olde timey parade
Last year I had my first summer break in several years. For a couple of those weeks I went on a graphic novel binge. It eventually became necessary to limit myself to only one graphic novel per day, a restriction I was only moderately successful at following. It was a beautiful time in my life. Since the semester began, I have created a graphic novel-free environment to aid in productivity and diminishing life enjoyment. But no longer!
Phase one: impulsively checkout The Sandman v. 10, starting again where I stopped last August.
Phase two: surround yourself with enabler friends. Thanks Aaron, for the best gift a girl can ask for: compendium one of the Walking Dead. I can’t wait to withdraw myself from all other professional and personal obligations.
But it’s Saturday night, what about my gentleman caller? I could blow him off, but trust me, no matter how many times you try, it is nearly impossible to make out with a book and not get a paper cut. So what’s it going to be, necking with a real-life human being or reading a comic book? Thank God it’s December, with all this darkness nighttime can be the right time for all of the above.
Also, I went to an olde timey horse and buggy Christmas parade that morning.

#82, you beautiful tiny bastard. Reminds me of that scene from Old School. The one that makes me cry every time. You know the one.
Also, how great of a term is necking?
